29th Annual Northeastern Lectureship: Register Now!
It’s official! The 29th Annual Northeastern Lectureship is set for September 26th through 29th. For those of you who have attended the Northeastern Lectureship in the past, you know there is much transpiring over these few days. Some of the most dynamic ministers of the Gospel and ministers of Music come together in one place to edify and educate the saints, while giving our Father the praise and glory His name rightfully deserves. This year’s theme will be “Special Studies in the Book of James – The Book of Common Sense.” The cost of registration is $70.00, however, online registration includes a $3.00 processing fee. Also note a special benefit offered specifically to guest groups: every group registering 10 individuals, an additional three guests will be admitted at no cost. That’s 13 people for the cost of 10. For group arrangements, e-mail us at registration@churchofchristinharlem.org. The cut-off date for group arrangements is September 19th.
The Lectureship will kick off at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 26th, and a fellowship dinner will occur at 1:00 for all in attendance. We will then resume the lectures at 3:00 p.m. that day. Weekly lectures will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Harlem Church of Christ Ladies’ Day DVDs Available
For those of you who missed it, the Harlem Church of Christ Ladies’ Day was a tremendous success and you can obtain a copy of the 2010 Ladies’ Day on DVD for $16.00. A special thank you to the event organizers and the brothers of the Harlem Church, who served over 175 women both breakfast and lunch. A heartfelt thanks to our dynamic speakers as well: Sisters Charity Ballard, Ramona Otero, and our special guest speaker, Debbie Houston from the East Henrietta Road Church of Christ in Rochester, New York. This year’s theme, “The Pride of Patria,” was inspired by 1 Timothy 5:1-2, and each speaker focused on the development of kingdom relationships between spiritual mothers and spiritual daughters. Mail in order forms will be posted in the days to come so that you can obtain your copy of this year’s Ladies’ Day.
Entering Month Four: Teacher Certification Courses with Larry Wofford
We’ve completed our third month of our teacher’s certification course and we are working hard, hard and hard! Oral reports, weekly tests examing our Koine Greek comprehension, Old and New Testament history, hermeneutics, typology. The list goes on and on. On May 8th, members of the Harlem Church of Christ began the 5-month teacher certification course taught by Minister to the Brooklyn Church of Christ, Larry Wofford. Although the course work is a substantial fish to fry, we are up for the challenge in order to be the best Bible teachers we can be. Keep us in your prayers, that we faint not, and that we are able to be teachers who not only disperse information about the Scriptures, but that our lives demonstrate the success of Christian living. Pray for our children, that we are a congregation that produces a generation of healthy Christian adults who are not distracted or ashamed to proclaim the Gospel of Christ. We are ever grateful to be learning about the importance of the Bible School, and about ourselves as individual teachers.

Announcing: Classic Dr. R.C. Wells Sermons on DVD
A series of vintage Dr. R.C. Wells sermons are being converted to DVD. This library of footage is continuously growing, and we are delighted and amazed as we witness the legacy of this dynamic minister of the gospel of Christ.
For those who may not know of Harlem’s minister emeritus, Dr. R.C. Wells is “set for the defense of the Gospel of Christ.” He has consistently and repeatedly made it irrefutably clear in his teaching, preaching, and writing that he is not “ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.” Dr. Wells has successfully engaged in public religious debates against opponents of the Gospel of Christ over several decades and many of these discussions were recorded for archival purposes. We are now making these debates available to the public. Do continue to check in with our website over the next few weeks to see a comprehensive list of these sermons available for ordering.
